Is Mark Robinson the Moral Choice?
Mark Robinson is the Republican candidate for Governor of NC. Speaking for my county, and maybe yours too, many residents are Christian. So, I refer Christians to the bible to see if he is indeed the moral choice.
MR believes that can make decisions for God.
“We now find ourselves struggling with people who have evil intent. Some folks need killin’, it’s time for somebody to say it. It’s not a matter of vengeance, it’s not a matter of being mean or spiteful, it’s a matter of necessity. “
MR believes in stealing.
His wife stole $3K from the Girl Scouts. His wife was ordered by DHHS to pay $132,000 for stealing federal nutrition funds and forging criminal background checks.
MR is against abortion.
Yet, he paid for his wife’s abortion.
MR supports a total abortion ban, including no exceptions for rape and incest.
Once a woman is pregnant, “it’s not her body anymore.” He referenced Darwin’s theory of evolution to imply that victims of assault deserved what happened to them. He claims that mass shootings are ”karma” for Americans’ support for abortion rights. “When you spill that innocent blood, that blood is going to come back as a stain on you and it’s going to come home to roost.”
He called Parkland shooting survivors “spoiled little bastards” and “prosti-tots”.
MR thinks unplanned pregnancies are women’s fault.
Women are “not responsible enough to keep your skirt down”.
MR does not believe in public education.
He does not want science or history taught, wants to eliminate the State Board of Education, wants to reject federal education funds.
MR doesn’t believe that God made us all. He does not love his neighbor.
He called LGBTQ+ people “what the cows leave behind,” as well as “maggots” and “flies”, called them “an abominable sin” and accused them of being pedophiles. “There’s no reason anybody anywhere in America should be telling any child about transgenderism, homosexuality, any of that filth.” Transgender women should be “arrested” for using women’s bathrooms, adding that they should instead “find a corner outside somewhere.”
MR doesn’t believe that the Holocaust actually happened, killing 6 million Jews.
Instead, called it “hogwash” and he admires Hitler and Stalin and thinks “it is time for us to get back and start reading some of those quotes. I am so sick of seeing and hearing people STILL talk about Nazis and Hitler and how evil and manipulative they were.” He endorsed a podcast host’s remarks that Jewish bankers are one of the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.”
MR does not respect women.
He called Michelle Obama transgender and that she speaks “ghetto” and “wookie,” and that she emanates “the stench of human waste”. “I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn’t vote. We are called to be led by men.” He defends sexual abusers like Harvey Weinsteins, the Bill Cosbys, the Matt Lauers.
So, do you think that MR is the moral choice?
